About Dr. De Barry

Dr. Lance De Barry is an Obstetrics and Gynecology trainee with a special interest in Gynecologic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, graduating with distinction, and completed his internship at San Fernando General Hospital.

Dr. De Barry has cultivated extensive experience in Gynecologic Oncology and complex surgical cases, having worked alongside a renowned Gynecologic Oncologist. He has actively participated in over 250 benign and oncologic gynecological procedures and continues to refine his expertise in open and laparoscopic surgery.
​
A prolific researcher, Dr. De Barry has authored close to two dozen research papers published in PubMed-indexed medical journals, particularly in General Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. He serves as a peer reviewer for multiple high-impact medical journals and is a member of the editorial boards for Women’s Health (SAGE Publications). Additionally, he has been invited to hold an Associate Editor position at Cureus Medical Journal.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. De Barry holds an MBA in Health and Hospital Management from the University of Bedfordshire, equipping him with strategic leadership skills in healthcare innovation, business development, and marketing. His expertise extends beyond medicine into healthcare strategy, digital marketing, and organizational efficiency, making him a valuable asset in both clinical and business environments.

Outside of medicine, Dr. De Barry enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs, Sophie and Emma. He has a keen interest in reading, swimming, and traveling.
